Arab American Pharmacist Association

The AAPA is the leading voice of Arab Pharmacists through advocacy , education, and information dissemination.
The Arab American Pharmacist Association was founded in 1996 by a group of pharmacists who wanted to establish a voice for Independent Arab Pharmacists.
Our Membership has seen a steady increase of 25% annually. Currently it is comprised of 225 registered pharmacists, 50 pharmacy students and 115 Independent Owned Pharmacies primarily located in Southeast Michigan, yet we also have members in Kalamazoo and other areas in the state of Michigan as well as Nationally.
Member Pharmacies serve approximately 450,000 thousand lives annually. Each pharmacy averages 3,000 to 4,000 lives. Our member Pharmacies are full line with some professional clinic settings.
- Our board Members are very active. They represent the AAPA on many diverse boards such as the HMO pharmacy, technology, Midwest, Medicaid, HMO, and other industry related associations. Many pharmacies are also affiliates with Wayne State University as externship sites for pharmaceutical students.
- Southeast Michigan is home to 450,000 Arab Americans. The largest concentration outside of the Middle East. The majority of our members are bilingual, speaking Arabic, Chaldean, and Spanish to better serve our customers and the greater community.
